how are you?

I am OK. At work. Piles of paper. Don't get a paper cut. Get more coffee. Read some books. Do some bookkeeping. Just like your paternal grandmother. Try to make that enough of a cool link to enjoy punching numbers into fields on a computer screen. Stretch out your back. Chat about television shows you watch or are thinking about watching. Go home and watch them. Eat the vegetables you bought before they go bad because there's only you to eat them and it's hard to eat that much spinach before it wilts. Phone rings and it's the library. Another Marple mystery on hold. Pay your fines (30 cents a day). Sleep on your squeaky bed and think about fixing that squeak as you fall asleep with your teddy bear, you're only 28 years old. No, not yet. Still 27.

cinema calhoun

hello there readers.

1. i saw hairy potts 5: the movie. it was a bit slowish but is entirely worth seeing: the scene at the Ministry of Magic rules.

2. i just saw John McClane Blows Shit Up, Part 4: Live Free and Blow Shit Up. A lot of stuff was blown up. And crushed. And set on fire. And shot. And then they did that a bunch more times for two hours. The "I'm a Mac" kid was super cute but used P.C.s the whole movie and may be outta that commercial gig.

3. weeks ago, i saw La Vie En Rose, which is very different from the above two films. It's rather sad and meandering but I quite loved it. Beautifully shot. There is a boxing scene that Erin and I agreed could have only been shot by someone not from the school of hollywood. And of course, you get to listen to Edith Piaf's music for two hours. Which, for me, is brills.

4. i know it will be absolute trash but i am going to see that lindsaw logan picture: I know who killed me (last summer). review tk.

in other news, i am tired. and cannot understand why the buffalo bills traded daryle lamonica back in their afl days. a clear error in judgement that even an uninterested party such as me could see and exclaim aloud, whilst alone and reading, what the frak?

My Best Joke in Dinosaur Comic!

I have one good joke (well, two) that I like to tell in joke-telling situations.

here it is. you probably haven't heard it before as it's quite original.

Two cannibals are eating a clown. One says to the other, Does this taste funny to you?

Check the last panel on this Dinosaur Comic! Ya!

Plus I learned a new joke from my mum and da on the Cabin weekend. Here it is.

I made a mistake once. I thought I was wrong but it turned out I was right.

I saw you standing in the corner...

i burnt my toast. but the ability to burn toast means I have bread to toast as well as milk to put in my coffee. a rarity lately, have not done a grozzery shop since pre-nyc trip. das fridge is barren.

White Stripes last night = gold.

The streetcar ride home crammed with the other 10,000 people from the show was so hellish (and I only went from Exhibition to King) but I'm trying to selectively erase that memory & hold on to the good concert part. The assfaces from Right Guard handed out samples of "Rush" bodyspray to the crowd and the assfaces in the crowd sprayed it around for a laugh. It smells seriously bad. But since we were outside it was not life-threatening. Once inside the streetcar, however, idiots kept spraying it. We were trying to avoid any conversation due to their drunkenness but I had to plead for them to stop (unsuccessful). One drunk girl told a woman that her tattoo looked like an ass and the woman said, thanks. it's my daughter's name in a design. but thanks for telling me it looks like an ass. eek.

A packed streetcar + right guard = nightmare city, express train to panic attack.

Today a million things to do and I seem to be wasting the day away with coffee, Nikki's blog (she has good clips of Flight of the Conchords you should watch), and the inability to decide what to do first. Dinosaur comics? Or work? Or packing for the cottage?
